Introduction

There are lots of vocabulary learning programs around; some are not even bad. Nevertheless they flop at a certain point:

Vocabulary is not a simple question/answer construction; there is no ultimative translation. Instead, one word may have different translations that differ in sense or not. So you need:

  1. several valid translations for one word; also several words may be displayed and you have to find a translation that fits them all
  2. the feature of an additional comment for each translation relationship in each direction; these comments may contain hints like `adverb' that may help you finding the right translation but do not squeal anything.

This is what voc-get aims to realize technically.
